It is only 40 minutes drive from Faro Airport and 15 minutes drive from the coast, where there is a choice of quiet, sandy beaches or larger resorts with water sports including pedalos, jet skis, windsurfing and scuba diving. Boat trips to visit the caves or view the sea-life from a glass-bottomed boat are available. Nearby are golf resorts, tennis clubs, water parks, deep-sea fishing, Alligator Park, dolphin-shows and horse riding. Within easy driving distance are the mountain spa resort of Monchique and the towering cliffs of Cape St.Vincent with spectacular views of the dramatic west coast.
The area is a great delight for walkers and bird-watchers. The property is situated in 4 hectares of fruit orchards abounding with wild life. Buzzards, hooples, kingfishers, storks are just a few of the many species that visit the garden. For the freshwater anglers, the river Arade runs by the bottom of the orange grove, where there is a delightful spot on our riverbank to fish in peace and tranquillity.
At the rear of the property there is a landscaped garden with a child’s play-area. Terraces and lawns surround the pool. Nearby is a cane roofed bar area, which contains a large BBQ.
